What carpet cleaning method do you use?

At Moore's Cleaning Service, we use Hot Water Extraction, commonly known as steam cleaning. This method is recommended by most major carpet manufacturers because it provides a deep clean by removing embedded dirt, dust, allergens and other contaminants from deep within the carpet fibres rather than simply cleaning the surface.

How long will it take for my carpets to dry?

Most carpets dry within 12 to 24 hours, depending on the carpet type, humidity levels and how heavily soiled the carpet was before cleaning. Good ventilation and air circulation can help speed up the drying process.

Can I walk on my carpet after it's been cleaned?

Yes. You can walk on your carpet immediately if necessary, but we recommend limiting foot traffic until it is completely dry. If you do need to walk on it, clean indoor shoes or socks are best to avoid tracking in new dirt.

How often should I have my carpets professionally cleaned?

For most homes, professional carpet cleaning is recommended every 12 to 18 months. Homes with children, pets, allergies or heavy foot traffic may benefit from more frequent cleaning to help maintain appearance and extend the life of the carpet.

Should I vacuum before your technicians arrive?

If possible, yes. Vacuuming beforehand is especially helpful if you have pet hair, loose debris or heavy surface dirt. This allows our technicians to focus on deep cleaning and stain removal for the best possible results.

Do you move furniture?

Yes. We will move many standard household items such as sofas, chairs, tables and beds on wheels. For safety reasons, extremely heavy, fragile or valuable items such as pianos, china cabinets and large entertainment units should remain in place. We'll carefully clean around these items.

Will all stains come out?

Every stain is different. While we use professional stain removal techniques and always do our best to improve the appearance of stains, we cannot guarantee complete removal. Results depend on the type of stain, how long it has been there and whether previous cleaning products have been used.

Do you use environmentally responsible cleaning products?

Yes. Moore's Cleaning Service uses environmentally responsible cleaning products that have been carefully selected for both cleaning performance and safety. Many of the products used are Green Seal Certified and are chosen with families, pets and the environment in mind.

How long does area rug cleaning take?

Most area rugs are professionally cleaned and returned within 7 to 10 business days. If additional time is required for specialty cleaning or repairs, we'll contact you before your scheduled delivery date.
